To A Younger Me

 Hello

Starting with a cliché, "How are you?"

But I know you're not fine, I see through

From a different time, yet the same

My letter aims to shatter myths and spark your flame.

I know maths has been traumatizing you,

dodging numbers that's all you do.

Fingers are pointed, questions are raised and

for every calculation wrong you’re to be blamed.

You pick up the compass and tattoo your vein.

Dyscalculia, a hidden burden to bear,

Struggle with numbers, it's only fair

To seek compassion, a kind embrace,

In a world where numbers hold their place.

Dyscalculia, a hidden burden to bear,

Struggle with numbers, it's only fair

To seek compassion, a kind embrace,

In a world where numbers hold their place.

That teacher, a cruel relentless voice,

Each lesson, cutting deep, no choice.

Counsellors blind to your inner fight,

Leaving scars that linger, day and night.

Supernatural's new season is in the air,

Sam and Dean, their trials to bear.

You hide behind covers, seeking rescue,

Yet in truth, no saviour will pursue.

You crave a guiding hand when esteem is low,

Becoming Sam, seeking a Dean to show

That life's not scripted, but reality's scene,

You're both Sam and Dean, strong and keen.

That new girl, causing endless strife,

Shaming you, wounding your life.

Naive to your pain, scars won't heal,

The bully's her, it's her lack of zeal.

Decency is absent, she lacks that grace,

You're not her punching bag, embrace

The truth, is she's the problem in every fact,

Her lack of kindness is a cruel act.

You go out of your way,

turn gloomy skies into sunny days,

your best friend forever squad

Hate to let you know it’s all a façade.

Leave the guilt behind, unlike them, you're unique,

The world's thirst to drain you, but don't be meek.

You're more than a prop, worth beyond a drop,

Don't let them use you, rise and stop.

Papa, the only man in your life who wishes nothing but the best for you

Rather than wrap up every ounce of happiness and gift it to you

Just glaring at him and it will widen your smile

He has set the bar skyrocketing high and no one dares to inch closer,

Listen to your voice, never beat yourself down,

This letter ends, heed its profound.

From you future self

Chameleon

In pristine white, I existed, serene and pure,

Till fate conspired, our gazes did allure,

A hint of yellow, a tinge of the surreal,

I transformed, and transcended, an artist's ideal.

Becoming a pinkish canvas, your smile did evoke,

Turning to Barbie Pink, our passion awoke,

Under the moonlit sky, on that magical night,

I swathed in electric blue, your lips pressed against mine.

The town painted crimson, love's confession divine,

Our hearts intertwined, a love so complete, so fine,

Yet storm clouds loomed, mingling with somber gray,

In the second week of September, our first disarray.

Shades of blue cascaded, like a waterfall's song,

Each time you strayed, our trust seemed gone,

Envy wore a cloak, a shade of regal purple,

All I glimpsed was your shadow's dark circle.

My palette turned black, I lost my inner sight,

Emptied my eyes, enveloped in endless night,

Till I found the strength, regained my inner light,

Once more, I was pure, like a canvas in the daylight.

A Curse to be Born a Man

It's a curse, indeed, to be born a man,

Don't take offense, for I'll explain my plan.

A curse, I tell you, for your made up of muscles, strength, and more,

Labeled the sole earner, you toil at the core.

You soil and toil, sweat not in vain,

A shield mightier than Captain America to maintain,

Boys don't cry, immune to pain

A sturdy oak 'midst the storm's disdain.

Your frozen tears become whips, nails, and hammers,

For you hail from Mar anger is your only glamour.

The house trembles at your mighty stride,

Remote in hand, tones within your guide.

Boundaries drawn, society's correlate,

Consent leaves the room when you with a woman of course men don't hesitate

your the lion leading your pride

Silence is your language, you only roar when something isn't right.

In glittery drinks, amidst a comforting darkness

When realization strikes, revealing the mess

Old wounds reborn, naked and torn,

Collapsed, perhaps a thought to adorn.

If only, just maybe, we could try,

Let them speak, feel, and not deny,

That men are only human, they do cry.

Be My Marlyn

when everyone is busy searching for their James Dean

I  yearn for you to be my Marlyn

I long to admire your morning face

Oh! How you untangle your messy thoughts and mane

I despise all standards

You are far and beyond Cosmo's selection

No, I'm not here to rescue you, I won't be your hero, won't play pretense

I'd rather scramble and decipher your nostalgic forest so dense

And No!No! No! I won't be the dominant one who'd make you clip your wings and burn your dream at stake

Be quiet, crossed legs, corsets, don't laugh, don't speak, and all the other archetypes I'mma break.

all I require is for you to be you

Be peculiar, an overthinker, crazy, loud, sometimes a freak so you'd never be cuffed up

And whenever we'd face time I'd see the covered scars and not your makeup puffed up

And now this rhyme has come to an end

now will you be mine   My Marlyn!

Modern Times - An Ode to Mr Dickens

 To my dear Mr Dickens

now don't go all freaking

And no i ain't changing anything that you; 've written

I welcome you to the modern times

Now teens are cutting schools and committing crimes

relieving stress through popits and gooey slimes

We have our own rottening ABCD

Let me introduce, you to bipolar, ADHD and OCD

These days it has been quite tough

because enough is never enough

AI is taking over the mankind

Everyone is focused on the finish line

And no, we won't be needing any Bounderby

We are our own oppressors, here is depression and anxiety

Imagination is being abused

Building tools for the darkness's amuse

Emptying the founders and keepers but we ain't looking for us

Deciphering logic through imagination

Doom and domination are our only our mission

Letter to My Younger self

I am going, to  begin with, the most overused line

How are you and I am not  hoping for you to be fine

Because I know you're not

Because I am you just from a different time

My sole purpose for writing this letter

Is to lift the weight of myths from your shoulders

So the truth sparks inside you brighter

And you feel a lot lighter

I know maths has been traumatizing you

Dodging numbers that's all you do

Fingers are pointed, questions are raised

And for every calculation wrong you are to be blamed

You pick up the compass and tattoo your vein

Allow or don’t allow me

But I am going to tell you honestly

You suffer from dyscalculia a learning disability

When a person struggles to deal with numeracy capability

So it's not the subject and you need to be treated with sympathy

But that teacher would belittle  you every single time she’d teach

She has been assassinating you with any chance she gets

This is going to cut deep, you will never forget

The school counselors won’t help you discover all this

Stamped upon you, you may never recover from it

How is that new season of supernatural  been coming up

The Winchester brothers, the novice Sam and Dean’s been toughening up

I know you, sulk behind hard covers and journals scribbling I want to be rescued

To tell you the truth that no one going to come and get you

You need someone to hold you up when your losing esteem

You are becoming Sam and I know you’re craving a dean

The fact of life that it isn’t a scripted scene

When in reality you are Sam and you are your own dean

Be careful of the people that you're surrounded with

And you're going along with it

You have this habit of going out of your way

To be a beacon of hope, turn gloomy skies into warm sunny days

And that new girl in your class has been creating some issues

She has been shaming you down, you’re being abused

Even when you feel that you are the culprit,

She is so naive and doesn’t how you feel

But girl some scars are never going to heal

Let me break it down for you

And tell you the truth

She is the bully, and you're being bullied

You are worthless you are conditioned to believe

Listen up, listen clear you are not someone’s punching bag

She is the problem here because decency is something she lacks

Oh yes! How can I lose track of your best friend forever squad

Hate to tell you that’s all a facade

I mean see it on your own, the word ‘friend’ ends with an end

What more hints could I give you, they are  all playing pretense

So enjoy while you can and leave, leave with no  guilt

Unlike them, you are differently built

I am no doctor strange and I don’t have the power to turn the wheels of time

Yet I am compelled to warn you that  don’t you ever open the doors for the opposite kind

Soon you will realize you are nothing more than an asset and they are the liability

And all this time they have been playing with your stability

So much so that you’d end up shutting yourself

That’s why I tell you to invest in your essence and not in them

The world is out there to get you and juice you out to the very last drop

For them, you're just an overused prop

Papa, the only man in your life  who wishes nothing out of you

Rather than wraps up every  ounce of happiness and gift it to you

So when you’re lost in translation and have no clue

Just stare at him every once in a while

Charismatically it will widen your smile

He has set the bar skyrocketing high and no one dares to inch closer

Don’t beat yourself down, good luck and take care

Signing off and now the letter is over

For Shubhdeep Sidhu

Five brooks merge into one to mold this expanse

Oh How!! fortunate was the soil to have given birth to such a man.

Years of yearning and penance were a blessing h was their only child

He was their universe, the apple of their eye

Obedient and rooted he was in every sense

Hellucid and sincere to par excellence

A flame had been flickering inside him

A desire had been quivering inside him

He began to ink out his scribbles carving out his destiny

Soon fame and success were next to him

He was spitting bullets of rhyme

Never a miss, he'd strike the bull's eye

But they weighed him down  until he was on his knees

A wounded lion brought down to 0 degrees

Ignorant of stature and life so grand

roaring on yet he was a simple man

He still beats among the million and a handful still hate on him

Yet the title "legend" fits great on him
